Driver San Francisco is a sand-box driving video game, that is available for Windows, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. If you have played the classic PC game Driv3r (or Driver 3), then you will probably enjoy this game a lot more. This game takes place roughly six months after the events of the 2004 game. I won't get into the plot much because I don't want to spoil the fun for you. Driver San Francisco starts with Jericho being transported in a prison truck and he is rescued by some of his associates. You play as John Tanner and are pursuing Jericho as he escapes. This pursuit ends in a car crash that puts you in a comma. When you wake up, you realize you have a new ability: you can control other drivers in the game. This is a new gameplay mechanic and one that works very well and is implemented neatly in the game. As you drive and complete the missions that you are given, you can take control of a driver in opposing traffic, for example.
The campaign mode is very entertaining, but there are also quite a few different multi-player modes that are innovative and fun to play. My favorite game mode is tag, where you and other opponents need to hit a car in a car chase. When somebody hits that car, he is it and all the players have to hit him.
